Day 1 -> Bordeaux (0 Km - 0 Miles)
According to your means of transport and your arrival time in Bordeaux, we will take you to your first point of accommodation. We will provide you with all necessary documents and equipment in order to begin your stay in the best possible conditions. On your first evening, you will enjoy the magnificent city of Bordeaux and dine in the restaurant of your choice.

Day 2 -> Bordeaux - Rions (35 Km - 22 Miles)
After having taken your time in the beautiful city of Bordeaux, you will head south to discover the region's countryside while cycling along the Graves tourist route. On arrival in La Brède you will delve immediately into local history as you come across the castle where the world-famous philosopher Montesquieu was born and wrote the majority of his works (e.g. "The Spirit of the Laws"). Your road continues towards Langoiran, on the other bank of the Garonne, where a medieval castle, perched on the heights of the city, offers a beautiful panoramic view. Finally it's time to make a stop for the night at Rions, only a few pedal strokes away.

Day 3 -> Rions - Villandrault (45 Km - 28 Miles)
Today your itinerary will take you across the famous vineyards of Cérons and especially of Sauternes. The ruins of the Budos castle, on the banks of the Ciron river, are a must when visiting this region. The you will take the direction of Sauternes to discover this renowned appellation. You will catch a glimpse of the famous châteaux Yquem, Filhot and La Tour Blanche. You will then cycle to Roaillan to visit the Roquetaillade castle, built in 1306, and which today is a unique example of feudal architecture in France. You will finish your day in Villandraut and appreciate its 14th century castle built by the Pope Clement V.

Day 4 -> Villandrault - Hostens (40 Km - 25 Miles)
During this leg of your trip, you will experience a change of scenery as you cycle along the beautiful bike path between Villandrault, Saint-Symphorien and Hostens. You will discover the Landes forest and its typical landscapes; a mixture of characteristic little villages and vast expanses of maritime pines. In Hostens, two large lakes have replaced the site of a former open-cast lignite mine, which supplied fuel for a local power station until the late 1960s.

Day 5 -> Hostens - Le Teich (35 Km - 22 Miles)
Depending on the season and the river's water level, we suggest you get off the bike and continue in a canoe. You will descend the Leyre river, which runs through the remarkable sites of the Natura 2000 network and flows into the Arcachon Bay via its delta. You will begin canoeing in Mios and paddle for 20 kilometers. The arrival point, in Le Teich on the Arcachon Bay, will be near the ornithological park, home to numerous species of birds.

Day 6 -> Le Teich - Arcachon (30 Km - 19 Miles)
Today's short bikeride will take you to Arcachon by the truly magical coastal path offering marvelous views over the bay. After admiring the numerous oyster ports you can enjoy a leisurely visit around Arcachon, a magnificent seaside resort. You will walk along the beach and notice l'Île aux Oiseaux and its cabins on stilts, stroll along the heights of the Ville d'Hiver and discover the superb villas that give Arachon its special character. Finally, the Dune of Pilat, the highest in Europe (110 m) gives you a breathtaking view over the Arcachon Bay and is well worth a detour. (about 20 km)

Day 7 -> Arcachon - Cap Ferret - Andernos (40 Km - 25 Miles)
The last leg of the journey starts with a real highlight! You will make a 30 minutes' boat trip across the Arcachon Bay to arrive in Cap Ferret. You will then stroll along the streets of the town to appreciate the charm of this peninsula. The ocean and the bayside beaches, the lighthouse with its magnificent view over the area and the fishermen's quarter will surely keep you busy all morning. In l'Herbe, do not miss the Villa Algérienne, a most atypical chapel. From Andernos, the end of your cycling circuit, we will take you back to Bordeaux for the last night of your stay.
