Day 1 -> Bordeaux (0 Km - 0 Miles)
According to your means of transport and your arrival time in Bordeaux, we will take you to your first accommodation. We will provide you with all necessary documents and equipment in order to start your stay in the best possible conditions. On your first evening, you will enjoy the magnificent city of Bordeaux and dine in the restaurant of your choice.

Day 2 -> Bordeaux - Créon (30 Km - 19 Miles)
The low mileage of this day will allow you to appreciate Bordeaux before taking off to Créon, the first stage of your journey. You will leave Bordeaux by crossing the Garonne river and following it along the right bank. You will pass some carrelets, small fishing huts on stilts, typical of the Gironde estuary. You will join the cycle path Roger Lapébie and continue your journey through Entre-deux-Mers vineyards. On the way you can get off the track to discover the region's small villages.

Day 3 -> Créon - Saint Macaire (45 Km - 28 Miles)
This day will take you to Saint-Macaire, a charming medieval town. As you cycle through the vineyards, you will be surrounded by magnificent landscapes. The Entre-Deux-Mers' rolling hills are sometimes quite steep and will not be an easy conquest! However, the pleasure of taming them will be all the greater. You will delight in discovering the bastide of Cadillac and its castle as well as the caves with fossilized oysters in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. You will also appreciate the Verdelais Basilica and cemetery with the painter Toulouse-Lautrec's tomb and Malagar, the summer house now converted to a museum of François Mauriac laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1952. The circuit of today will no doubt be one of your journey's unforgettable experiences.

Day 4 -> Saint Macaire - Castillon-la-Bataille (50 Km - 31 Miles)
You will cycle through the Entre-Deux-Mers region to join the banks of the Dordogne and Castillon-la-Bataille, a charming little town well-known for the battle which marked the end of the Hundred Years' War (1453). But before that, the itinerary we suggest will take you to the Château Malromé, where the famous painter Toulouse-Lautrec died in 1901 at the age of 36, then to the lovely fortified town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. You can visit the Saint Nicolas Abbey in Blasimon, and in Rauzan the Célestine Cave and the castle. Of course, you can also indulge in some winetasting on one of the many estates that you will find on your way. Yet another breathtaking day!

Day 5 -> Castillon-la-Bataille - Bordeaux (55 Km - 34 Miles)
Before you reach Bordeaux, the final destination of your trip, we suggest you visit Saint-Emilion, the famous medieval city known worldwide for its wine, its monolithic church, narrow cobbled lanes, and the King's Tower which provides a bird's eye view over the region. But before you get there, you could even visit the little known caves at Château Ferrand, an interesting detour across the magnificent countryside of the Saint Emilion area. Your journey will then continue towards Libourne, an ancient bastide at the confluence of the Isle and the Dordogne rivers which is undoubtedly worth a stop. On your way to Bordeaux you will pass by the castle of Vayres, a prestigious historical building with gardens classified as "Remarkable Gardens of France". You will arrive in Bordeaux from the right bank of the Garonne which you will cross by the new elegant vertical lift bridge Chaban-Delmas. So you have the prospect of a sumptuous arrival thus ending your day in a most wonderful way.
